Angola Enterprise Programme (AEP): Signing of two Memorandum of Agreement between UNDP and KPMG

Luanda, 19 September 2007 - Ms. Gita Welch (UNDP Country Director) and Ms. Isabel Serrão  (Managing Director of KPMG-Angola) signed the two agreements on 3 September 2007. 

The first agreement is for KPMG to provide technical services in building the capacity of at least 25  “Business Development Services” (BDS) providers in the provinces of Luanda, Cabinda, Benguela and Huila.  BDS providers include training institutions, consultancy firms and other related institutions providing business support services to entrepreneurs, especially micro, small and medium entrepreneurs.

 KPMG-Angola won the competitive bidding among 10 international bidders.

The other agreement is for the “Pro Bono” (free) services that KPMG will provide to build the capacity of the staff and clients of the Luanda Business Incubator for a period of 6 months. This capacity building includes in house training of staff and clients.
