Technical mission of UNIDO to support an Entrepreneurship Programme with the Ministry of Education of Angola.

Luanda , 14 January 2009 - Three consultants, Gabrielle OTT, Luís Óscar Pino Marin and Billy Buyamanya, from UNIDO carried out a technical mission from the 10 -13 January, 2009 at the Entrepreneurship Programme of the Education Ministry in order to bring their technical support to develop the Annual Work Plan 2009.

The consultants had their first contact with the technical work team of the Ministry of Education in charge of designing several documents: study plan, training program, guides of teachers and pupil’s handbooks.

During the four days of working session, the consultants successively devoted their initial time to share experiences on the program implementation in Uganda, Mozambique and Namibia. Then, they tackled the integration of the entrepreneurship programme in the secondary education curriculum in Angola to develop the training material and methodologies in preparation for this process.

They also discussed issues related to the training of teachers and the program implementation.

Lastly, their last working session was devoted to discuss the evaluation, monitoring and the production of a Annual Work Plan.

The Entrepreneurship Programme is a joint project of UNDP, UNIDO and the Ministry of Education.
