Sustainable Land Management Project Steering Committee Organizes its 2nd Meeting

Huambo, 15 June 2009 - The Steering Committee of Sustainable Land Management Project - ELISA held its second meeting on June 15, 2009, in the facilities of the “Casa Ecológica” (Ecological House), where the ELISA Project Office is located in Huambo city.

Important project documents were discussed and approved, namely: the 2 nd Quarter (April - June 2009) activity report, the 1 st and 2 nd Quarter Expenditure Reports, approval of the 3 rd Quarter (June-September 2009) Action Plan and Budget, among other issues.

Mr. Amílcar Salumbo, the Project Coordinator, highlighted some activities conducted during the period in reference, such as the preparation and implementation of the inception workshop, and the establishment of contacts with potentials partners at local level, namely NGOs that work in rural development, the Agronomic Faculty of Agostinho Neto University and FAO.
