Vasileia is located 18 km west of Kyrenia, on the north roots of Pentadaktylos. In 1960, the population was recorded as follows: 855 Greek Cypriots, 213 Turkish Cypriots and 4 of other origin.

The cemetery is located at the centre of the village. The Project aims at rehabilitating the external walls and the main entrance of the cemetery, as well as cleaning it. We invite the relatives to help/contribute in the rehabilitation of the tombs of their loved ones. This will be under their responsibility in coordination with the Secretariat of the Project and the GC mukhtar Mr. Michalakis Paraskeva (Tel: 25 577551) and the President of the Somateon Vasilea/Vavilas Mr. Pambos Michael (Tel: 99 667166)
