Member Cities of the Alliance, Cities and Cities’ associations in partnership with the Alliance, Local authorities (regions and provinces), UNDP and other organisations of the United Nations system, representatives from governments and the private sector, social organisations, representatives from universities.
The number of participants will be 1 or 2 representatives per city or institution.

Objective:
To reinforce local democracy in order to better fight poverty, the main component of all the MDGs
Themes:
Decentralisation, local autonomy, participation, empowerment, participative cooperation in order to effectively achieve the MDG
Conditions:

Participation to the Forum is free of charge. Participants will cover travelling and accommodation costs. Municipalities with resources difficulties will have to look for financial support through their respected authoritiesAll requests for sponsoring from the municipalities with no the resources in the less developed countries will be submitted to potential donators, especially to cities in industrialized countries which may make a contribution in the context of mutual assistance.
