TICAD IV Annual Progress Report 2008 (February 2009)

TICAD IV Annual Progress Report 2008 intends to document the progress of the implementation of the Appendix of the Yokohama Action Plan during the period following TICAD IV up to February 2009. It reflects the inputs from all implementation partners who were asked by the Secretariat to furnish details of the current status of implementation of the various commitments made at TICAD IV.

• Appendix I: TICAD Follow-up Mechanism

Given the fact that the need for institutionalizing a monitoring mechanism had been pointed out in numbers of occasions since TICAD III, a Follow-up Mechanism with a Three-Tier Composition was formalized at TICAD IV.
